Who we are

Our mission is to create and offer language resources, tools and services to develop the Basque language. We set out to take the customer’s language needs as a whole into consideration and to provide a quality, integral language service.

Ever since Elhuyar was founded, it has been developing Basque for new social needs. Guaranteed by knowledge and experience in this respect, its commitment is to quality at the service of a clear aim at all times: to turn Basque into a language for communication in society.
